At Mi Best, our goal is to pair each puppy with the family where they are most likely to thrive. Families may place a deposit before or after puppies are born, and deposits secure your puppy selection order.

Rather than selecting puppies immediately after birth based primarily on appearance, we wait until approximately 6 weeks of age, when their individual personalities and temperaments have had time to develop. We temperament test the litter and use those results, along with what we know about each family’s lifestyle, needs, and preferences, to help guide selections.

Families are then scheduled to select their puppy in order of deposit. Puppy selection may take place in person or by video chat for families who cannot attend in person.

After our scheduled Puppy Selection Day, any puppies who remain available will be listed as Available Puppies for Reservation.

If you are interested in a particular available puppy, the first step is to complete our puppy application. This allows us to learn more about your family, lifestyle, and what you are looking for in a puppy.

Because we have already completed our temperament evaluations by this time, we can also share information about that puppy’s personality and help determine whether they would be a good fit for your family.

Once approved and we mutually agree that the puppy is a great match, a deposit is required to reserve that puppy. Puppies are then able to join their new families at approximately 8 weeks of age.
